Cats and dogs have been very much part of my life since I was 8 years old. My parents gave me a beautiful tabby cat who I adored, soon to be followed by a gentle, intelligent and affectionate poodle. Many years later my neighbour acquired a confident, loyal and playful miniature schnauzer, who I loved taking for walks. He was a lively companion.

In recent years a friend of mine adopted such an energetic and full of mischief golden retriever, I felt inspired to write about her.

Although I’ve written lots of poems and stories about cats and dogs; Trouble is a dog like no other. She can make people howl with laughter, and she can also make people very cross. But when two firemen finally catch up with her, is is time to put out her fire?

i hope this book is enjoyed by children and adults too.
