Susan Harvey

Susan was born in Berkshire and currently lives there with her husband. They have two adult sons and dog named Kizzy.

 

For over 20 years, Susan has worked in special needs education and alongside being a mother of an autistic son, is a great advocate for children’s mental health. 

 

After leaving her role as an art tutor and mentor to spend more time at home, she started painting and has sold work all over the UK and abroad.

 

Being creative Susan recently began crafting and making gnomes which inspired her to write a children’s book about a little gnome.  As the story developed, she found a way to incorporate an opening about how important it is to talk about feelings and emotions, along with kindness.

 

Susan currently works for a charity that supports families with children, and co-hosts an autism parenting course.
