I have always enjoyed books where there are mintrels, but I have always been aware that they are often built to a beauty of the circumstance, rather than the reality that unless you were a famous minstrel you likely struggled to get by, were mistreated and maybe even ridiculed.
This book takes the perfect look at that, with our main character having to deal with being constantlyocked and mistreated due to his health. He was done so wrong by that he ended up snapping and taking things a bit too far, or did he?
I really found this an extremely interesting read and really liked the depth of which it looked at the life of Robert and of his ways, his treatment and the behaviour of this around him. It was very engaging and I liked the historical aspects of it.
