This was a lovely and moving read. I loved the cover and blurb of this book. I felt for jo. Poor little Reba. I did like the illustrations. In one Reba looked so sad. I just wanted to jump in and hug Reba and Jo. I loved the pic of Reba and Byron. So cute. Thank you for writing this book. Such a moving and real story. So well written. From the heart. Highly recommend this book.

This was such a heart wrenching, but inspiring true story of Jo and her dog Reba - and it really spoke of the absolute love and dedication as well as the beautiful relationship that Jo has with her pet.
Now, I say pet, but quite honestly, I'm an animal lover myself and really do think of my cats as part of our family, with their own little personalities.
We talk to them, care for them and literally treat them like Kings and Queens.
This is why this story really was an emotional read for me.
When Reba ran into a tree at full speed and broke her neck, things were really not looking good for her future.
But, we watch as Jo puts everything she has into not only healing and rehabilitating Reba physically, but also creating stability and emotional security for both of them.

I must admit I was a little worried going into this read about how sad it would make me and while it is a moving story, above all it is one of dedication and hope.
It is written in a journal style which chronicles the first 5 months of Reba’s recovery after running head first into a tree and breaking her neck.
Jo dedicates her life to and savings to rehabilitating her beloved dog. She provides stability, ongoing care and full time emotional support to Reba which is truly admirable.
I have 2 cats and a dog myself and while I love them dearly this book really made me reflect on what I would do in a similar situation. Thankfully I don’t have to make that decision and hope I never will.
Jo and Reba’s journey is truly inspirational and I am full of admiration at Jo’s unwavering dedication, love and belief that Reba can enjoy a great quality of life despite still having many obstacles yet to overcome.

This story is both heartbreaking and inspiring and a must for any pet owner. I'm not sure who is the bravest - Jo or Reba but Jo was committed to doing her very best for her lovely girl and her determination is paying off.

This was such a heartwarming story that really resounded with me as I’ve been through trauma and recovery with a treasured pet myself. Reba, Jo Sellers’s much loved dog breaks her neck in a freak accident. The book is about her long, hard road to recovery and the complete devotion of her owner. Jo gave up ever To nurse Reba. As a dog trainer, she had experience with dogs but nothing had prepared her for the sacrifices she would have to make for Reba. The story is honest and packed with so many emotions. It’s a testimony to the love between pets and their humans and to the dedicated, hard working veterinary medics who worked so hard to save Reba and help her recover.
